Coleman Bryant Childress, Jr. August 22, 1934 – October 20, 2020 Coleman “CB” Bryant Childress, Jr., 86 of Elm City passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2020 in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home of his son, Scott of Wilson. “CB” was a member of Rosebud Baptist Church where he served his Lord faithfully. “CB” is survived by his daughter, Amanda Childress Brown and husband, Eric of Fremont; sons, Dale Childress and wife, Cindy of Elm City and Scott Childress and wife, Lisa of Wilson; grandchildren, Kala Childress, Randall Childress and wife, Blair, Dana Childress, Shannon Childress and boyfriend, Justin Webb, Abby Hill, Conner Wellong, Samantha Wellong and Spencer Price; his nephew whom he helped raise, Bobby Price and wife, Denise; sisters, Emma Price of Yadkinville and, Gene Craig; brother, Gary Childress both of Greensboro and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Jane Priddy Childress; parents, Coleman Bryant and Ruby Kennedy Childress and his brother, Kenneth Childress and his wife, Suzi.
