Connie Lamm Boswell, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to so many went to be with the Lord on June 20, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, 311 Nash Street N, Wilson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. Rev. Chris Thomas will officiate.
The family will receive friends and family Wednesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Connie was born in Nash County to Willard and Elmyra Perry Lamm. She grew up in Bailey and graduated from Bailey High School. A few years after graduating, she married George Baynes Boswell and moved to Wilson where they lived and raised their two children. They attended the First Baptist Church in Wilson.
Connie loved to quilt, and she taught quilting at Wilson Community College and the Senior Center in Wilson. She made lifelong friends in these quilting groups. She was very artistic and learned many crafts like painting, stain glass art, applique, and smocking. She also owned a quilting shop in Wilson called Stitch-N-Time.
Connie was an avid gardener and homemaker. She spent many hours manicuring her lawn and flower garden to pristine condition and her evening hours with a quilt in her lap stitching by hand the most beautiful quilts. She was even granted a first-place grand champion honor at the North Carolina State Fair with one entry.
Connie is survived by her son, Michael Boswell (Susan) and daughter, Sherry Hall (Mike); granddaughters, Alyson Boswell, Sarah Boswell Anderson, and Jensen Hall, and her brothers, Larry Lamm (Brenda) and Vance Lamm.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George Boswell; grandson, Anderson Joseph Hall; parents, Willard and Elmyra Lamm, and brothers, F.D. Lamm and J.P. Lamm.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to all of Connie’s caretakers in her later years and most recently to Fran and her excellent staff at the Spring Arbor Cottage.
Flowers are welcome or please consider memorials in Connie’s memory to First Baptist
Church, PO Box 1467, Wilson, North Carolina 27894.
