Connie Wayne Davis

Connie Wayne Davis December 13, 1945 – September 29, 2019 Connie Wayne Davis, 73, of Elm City passed away Sunday.  His funeral will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson.  A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Pikeville Town Cemetery, Mt. Carmel Church Road, Pikeville.  The Rev. B.L. Effird will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday evening following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. Connie was retired from Firestone after thirty years of service.  He was a loving husband, father, step-father, grandfather, brother and friend.  Connie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Connie is survived by his loving wife of thirty-six and half years, Helene Smith Davis of the home; daughters, Stephanie Davis Crawford and husband, John of Kenly and Sheree Davis Price and husband, Jamie of Goldsboro; son, C.W. Davis, Jr. and wife, Jennifer of Goldsboro; step-daughter, Volinda Hufton Boyette and husband, John of Garner; step-son, Randy Hufton and wife, Lynn Strickland Hufton of Wilson; grandchildren, Ann-Marie Davis and fiancé, Brandon Outlaw, Natalie Davis, Tyler Crawford, AJ Hufton and wife, Haley, Keith Boyette, Kevin Boyette, Daniel Garrett and wife, Bre, Paige Vick, Laney Price, Layton Price and Justin Crawford and wife, Jamie; sister, Linda D. Smith of Goldsboro; his brothers, Royce Davis and wife, Evangeline and Dearl Davis and wife, Glenda both of Goldsboro and countless nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dillard and Sadie Ferrell Davis; sister, Velda Anderson and his brothers, Rudolph, Leslie, Elmer Ray and Kenneth Davis.  In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in Connie’s memory to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, North Carolina 27534.
