Cuyler McCoy Farmer August 8, 1935 – November 16, 2016 Cuyler McCoy Farmer, 81, of Wilson was ushered into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday evening at his home surrounded by his wife, and daughters. His funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Peace Church, Wilson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Rusty Russell will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12 – 1:45 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at Peace Church, 2838 Tilghman Road, Wilson and other times at the home. Cuyler is survived by his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Ruthe G. Farmer of the home; his daughters, Cynthia Ruthe Farmer Edwards and husband, Mike of Wilson, Christi Lynn Farmer Lucas of Wilson, and Kimberly Sue Farmer Zino and husband, Dr. John of Wilmington; his granddaughters, Tiffany Edwards Purdy and husband, Jarrett of Wilson, Meredith Edwards Martin and husband, Dr. Barrett of Willow Springs, Allison Christi Lucas of Elm City and fiancé, Matthew Gregory Stancil of Kenly, Madison Ruthe Edwards of Wilson, and Peyton Kimberly Zino of Wilmington; his grandsons, Michael Andrew Edwards, Jr. of Wilson, and John Cuyler Zino of Wilmington; great-grandchildren, Jada, Jude and Tatum Purdy, and Lucy and Laney Martin; his sisters, Jeanette Davis and husband, Billy of Wilson, Becky Pearson and husband, Rodney of Wilson, and Faye Pearson of Elm City; his brothers, Stanley Farmer and wife, Cecilia of Richmond, Virginia, Tom Farmer and wife, Louise of Wilson, Willis Farmer and wife, Geraldine of Elm City, and James Farmer of Raleigh, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy T. and Gladys Moore Farmer.
