Dannie Lynn Britt

Dannie Lynn Britt, 76, of Wilson passed away Monday, February 17, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Entombment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. Rev. David Barnes will officiate.

 The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 12:30 – 1:45 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

 Dannie was co-owner and operator of Britt Plumbing Company of Wilson. He loved to travel to the beach, mountains, an avid racing fan and loved Duke basketball. Dannie loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and a friend to all who knew him. Dannie will be greatly missed.

 Dannie is survived by his wife of twenty-eight years, Phyllis Baker Britt; daughters, Candice Rountree and husband, James, Karen Pritchard and husband, Chris, and Anna Britt; step-sons, Brian Barnes and wife, Terry, and Brent Barnes and wife, Courtney; grandchildren, Lilah, Charlie, Carson, Jack, Mason, Garrett, Landry, and Taylor; sisters, Joyce Waddell and Ruby Rhora; brother, Braxton Britt and his nieces, Gail Hinnant and Ann Webb.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Annie Mae Britt; sisters, Grace Verhoff, Mary Ann Britt, and Betty Sue Britt; his brother, Donnie Britt, and sister-in-law, Alice Britt.
