David Richard Hanchett

David Richard Hanchett, 43, of Wilson passed away Friday. The memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Bob Bergland will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday evening immediately following the service at the First United Methodist Church, 100 Green Street, Wilson and other times at the home of Janine and Richard Youngstrom. Dave was born in Alexandria, VA and he was a loving son, brother, grandchild, uncle and friend to all that knew him. He was employed with Bridgestone-Firestone for eleven years as a MTS operator. He will be greatly missed and thought of often with memories that will warm the heart. Dave was the beloved son of Janine Youngstrom and step-father, Richard Youngstrom of Wilson; his brother, Christopher William Hanchett and wife, Patricia of Imperial, Missouri; his niece, Alexandria Hanchett and his nephew, Will Hanchett both of Imperial, Missouri; his grandparents, William and Jacqueline Tretinik of Webster Groves, Missouri; his aunt, Renee Tretinik of St. Louis; his beloved dogs, Goliath and Zoe and his neighbors, that were part of his extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Hanchett. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the For Love of Dogs, 5146 Quaker Road, Wilson, NC 27893.
