David Randolph Edwards, Sr.

David Randolph Edwards, Sr. June 13, 1938 – August 31, 2019 David “Randy” Randolph Edwards, Sr., 81 of Fremont passed away Saturday.  His funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson.  Burial will be private.  The Rev. Shawn Garnett will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday morning from 10 – 10:45 a.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. David loved baseball and coached children leagues for many years.  He served his country with honor and pride with the U.S. Army.  David was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. David is survived by his daughters, Kim Batchelor of Elm City, Wendy Taylor of Gloucester and Sharon Runtas and husband, Jason of Fremont; son, David Edwards, Jr. and wife, Brandy of Newport; special companion, Brenda Gibbs of Black Creek; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and his sisters, Barbara Ann Pittman and Peggy Fisher and husband, Larry.
