David Stuart Goff, 71, of Wilson passed away Sunday.  Funeral services will be conducted 7 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday in Evergreen Memorial Park.  The Rev. Sam Cullifer will officiate and Rev. Woody Parrish. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. David was retired from the City of Wilson Fire Department with over fifty years of service.  He was a member of the Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church.  David was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and a great friend to all that knew him.  He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. David is survived by his wife, Verna Jean Goff of the home; his brother, Royce Goff of Wilson; his poodle, Heidi and his retriever, Haleigh which were close to his heart; several nieces and nephews and his special friends, Tony Pulley, Mena Williams, Charles and Debbie Baker and their daughter, Angie. He was preceded in death by his son, David Tyler Goff; his parents, Floyd and Ruby Cunningham Goff and his brother, Tony Goff.
