David Joseph Hatch

David Joseph Hatch, 77 of Wilson, completed his life journey and moved into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Friday, December 9, 2022.  His funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Forest Hills Baptist Church, Wilson.  A private interment will be held.  Rev. Dr. Mark Harrell will officiate.

The family will receive friends Saturday prior to the service from 1 – 1:45 p.m. at Forest Hills Baptist Church, 1407 Forest Hills Road, NW, Wilson.

David was the owner and operator of Hatch Shoes and Tiara Jewelry at Parkwood Mall for twenty-six years and was in retail for forty-six years.  He was a long-time member and loved his church family of Forest Hills Baptist Church in Wilson.  David was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved them with all his heart.   He will be dearly missed and thought of often with heartfelt memories.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of fifty-six years, Sandra Hatch of the home; son, Chris Hatch and wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, Kaylee and Cameron; sisters, Janet Bridges and husband, Dick, and Joyce Webb and husband, Govan; brother, James Hatch and wife, Margaret, and his sister-in-law, Annette Hatch.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John W. Hatch and Hazel E. Hatch; brother, Charles E. Hatch; sister, Dorothy A. Hans.

The family would like to express their thanks to Community Hospice for the compassion and loving care that was provided during David’s illness.
