Deloras D. Nichols, 73 of Sims, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 25, 2024.
Mrs. Nichols has been an X-Ray Technician since high school and was considered an expert in her field, as she trained many other medical professionals in her career, including doctors.
She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, as well as a devoted long-time member of Marsh Swamp Original Free Will Baptist Church.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 29th, from 6-8pm at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Pkwy, Wilson, NC. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Wednesday, October 30th, at Marsh Swamp Original Free Will Baptist Church, with Rev. Ray Wells officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider making a donation to the memorial fund at Marsh Swamp Free Will Baptist Church.
Mrs. Nichols is survived by her husband of fifty-three years, Bradley Nichols; her children: Kenneth Madison Nichols (Charity), Dean Gregory Nichols (Heather), and William Paul Nichols (Holly); grandchildren: Paige Madison Nichols, Anna-Eles Nichols, Nash Bradley Nichols, Graison Elizabeth Nichols, Avery Taylor Nichols, John Lawton Nichols, Adeline Leigh Nichols, Scarlett Christine Nichols, and Greyson Lee Crocker; sister, Linda Dew Hare (Dennis); and all of her in-laws and many cousins, with whom she held very close relationships.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Norby and Gladys Dew; brother, Butch Dew; and sister, Sandra Dew Mullins.
