Dennis Eugene Boykin May 7, 1959 – October 12, 2021 Dennis Eugene Boykin, 62 of Lucama passed away Tuesday. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Pastor Randy Jenkins will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, and other times at the home of Michael and Joy Boykin, Lucama. Dennis worked at NCDOC for eighteen years and served on the PERT Team for fourteen years. Dennis is survived by his wife, Susan Mary Black Boykin of the home; sons, Sheldon Russell Boykin and wife, Amy of Kenly, and Michael David Boykin and wife, Joy of Lucama; grandchildren, Ciera, Jacob, Luke and Jack Boykin, and his brother, David Alan Boykin and wife, Katrina of Louisburg.
