Dewey Ray Pittman
July 23, 1947 – April 28, 2018
Dewey Ray Pittman, 70, of Wilson passed away Saturday. His memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, with the family receiving friends following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Ray was an active tennis player at Lake Wilson Tennis Club, and an active member with the Wilson YMCA. He was also a contributor to the Shriners, where he was involved with the Shriners Hospital for children. Ray lived a graceful and full life with many relatives and friends. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
Ray is survived by his cousins, Johnnie Albritton and wife, Jane of Wilson, Leamon Jones and wife, Diane of Black Creek, Judy Jones of Lucama, and Nona Golden and husband, Allen of Elm City; his special friends, Walter and Barbara Inscoe; cousin, Jean Walston and husband, Randolph of Wilson and numerous other loving cousins.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Vickie Graves Pittman, and his parents, Dewey Pittman and Letha Jones Pittman.
