Dexton Cook, 82, of Wilson passed away Sunday.-Funeral services will be conducted 7 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner-s Funeral Home, Wilson.-A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday in Wayne Memorial Park Cemetery, Goldsboro.-The Rev. Doug Radford will officiate.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening immediately following the service at Joyner-s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Dexton is survived by his wife of 60 years, Edna Earle Capps Cook of the home; his daughters, Donna Lynn Cook Cook and husband, John of Destin, FL and Cathy Ann Cook Olive and husband, Vernon of Clayton and his grandchildren, Katherine E. Olive, Matthew Eli Olive, Camilla M. Cook and Nicholas A. Cook.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Hardy Cook and Mae Bennett O-Neal; his sisters, Willa Thompson and Ruth Catzva and his brothers, Walter Ray Cook and Milton Cook.
