Dixie Howard Bunn

Dixie Howard Bunn March 8, 1938 – February 11, 2016 Dixie Howard Bunn, 77, of Middlesex passed away Thursday. Her funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lee’s Chapel Baptist Church, 14551 Taylors Mill Road, Middlesex. Interment will follow in Lee’s Chapel Church Cemetery. The Rev. Curtis Pettit of South Carolina, Rev. Harold Pittman, and Rev. Joel Story will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 – 9 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. Dixie is survived by her husband, Floyd F. Bunn of the home; her son, Greg Bunn and wife, Maria; her daughters, Debbie Coash and husband, Richard of Raleigh, Carol Woodall of Middlesex, and Somer Overby and husband, Ashley of Middlesex; her grandsons, Matthew Baker and wife, Chiara, Jason Bunn and wife, Crystal, and Jonathan Carroll; her granddaughter, Kelsie Carroll; her great-grandsons, Faison Overby, and Jonathan Bunn; great-granddaughter, Lillian Overby; several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Metta Glover Howard; brothers, Fred and Jasper; sisters, Carrie, Cleo, and Lillian, and her granddaughter, Ana Marie Carroll.
