Dixie Lou Godwin

Dixie Lou Wise Godwin, 79 of Beaufort passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024.  A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Thanksgiving Baptist Church, 670 NC 42, Selma.  Entombment will be held on Friday, February 9 at 2:00 pm at the Wise Family Cemetery.  Reverend Danny Bunn Jr., and Pastor Bobby Richardson will officiate. 

The family will receive friends Saturday, February 3, 2024, prior to the service at Thanksgiving Baptist Church, Selma and other times at the home.

Dixie is survived by her husband, John Godwin; sons, Jonathan Richard Godwin and wife, Kelly and Paul Durwood Godwin and wife, Renee, both of Johnston County; grandchildren, Ryan Godwin, Brandy Godwin, Patrick Godwin, and Dustin Godwin; great-grandchild, Collin Godwin; and her sister, Rebecca Wilder of Johnston County.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Dora Lee Wise, and her sister, Violet Price.
