Dolly Owens Godwin Eastwood
June 14, 1932 – December 15, 2020
Dolly Owens Godwin Eastwood, 88 of Wilson passed away Tuesday at home surrounded by her family and special loved ones. A private service will be held for the immediate family. The Rev. Ray Wells will officiate.
Dolly was a supervisor for thirty-seven years with Carolina Telephone Company. She was a wonderful lady and will be missed dearly and life-time member of Marsh Swamp OFWB Church. Dolly was the best cook, loved to dance and enjoyed being outside with her beautiful flowers.
Dolly is survived by her daughter, Deborah “Debby” Godwin Hamm of Wilson; her loving godson, Kyle Strickland; step-son, Cory Hamm and wife, Michelle of Bailey; sister, Reba Whitley of Washington; step-grandsons, Phillip Hamm, and Seth Fraley both of Bailey; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Avery Godwin; parents, Henry Malcolm Owens, and Etta Boykin Owens; sisters, Ruth Owens, Thelma Parker, Gertrude Wells, Pearl Reehlman, Betty Turner and Polly Baker and her brothers, Thurman Owens, Earl Owens, June Owens, and Tommy Owens.
