Dolores -Laurie- Carson, 71, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday afternoon at her home in Wilson.-Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, April 15, 2013 at St. Therese Catholic Church.-Visitation will be held in vestibule of the church starting at 10:30 a.m. Father Paul Brant will officiate.

Laurie was a special woman who dedicated her life to helping others, as she made a long successful career in nursing.-She was a loving wife to her husband, Jack, of 40 years.-She also unconditionally loved her son, Vince who is 31.-As a mother, she selflessly made every effort to provide the best possible life for her son.

Laurie also served her country honorably as a flight nurse in the Vietnam War with the US Air Force.

She will be truly missed and will never be forgotten.-Beautiful memories of time shared with her will always be remembered and cherished.

Laurie is survived by her husband, Jack Caron; her son, Vince Carson; her oldest brother, Vince Madden and wife, Mary; and her youngest sister, Frances Gallagher and husband, John.
