Donald Wayne Williams Jr. March 6, 1979 – July 5, 2014

Donald “Wayne” Williams Jr., 35, of Wilson, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. The Rev. Tommy Hagan will officiate.

The family will receive friends 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, and other times at the residence.

Wayne was a special young man who was loved dearly by all that knew him. He touched many lives while facing adversity.

Surviving are his parents, Donald W. Williams Sr. and Katie Peaden Williams; two sisters, Renee Williams Spreadbury and husband, Pete, and Teresa Williams Day and husband, Tim; two nephews, Michael and Casey Day; two nieces, Jennifer Paul and Emily Spreadbury; and many favorite aunts, uncles, great-aunts, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Alkie Berry and Catherine Williford Williams, and his maternal grandparents, William “Bill” and Josephine “Granny” Walston Peaden.
