  Donna J. Longenecker February 17, 1951 – March 19, 2019 Donna Jean (Minnich) Longenecker, 68, of 806 Broad Street, Wilson, peacefully passed away on Tuesday morning, March 19, 2019, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 17, 1951 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to the late Elmer Harry Sr. and Betty Margaret (Stum) Minnich of Mount Joy, Pennsylvania. Donna worked as a secretary and office assistant in the Probation and Parole offices of Lancaster County and NC-DOC. Additionally, she worked in legal offices, coded medical transcriptions and worked at the Caraway Conference Center in Asheboro. She is a 1969 graduate of Donegal High School, Mount Joy, Pennsylvania. Donna created Whimsy Two, as an expression of her boundless creativity. Her successful online shop, in which she partnered with “other half of Whimsy Two” (her husband), featured beautiful folk creations, paintings, greeting cards and the popular, copyrighted Lil Miss Priss character. They traveled to fairs and festivals in central and eastern North Carolina setting up booths and tables to display their wares. Donna was an avid blogger for many years and developed close relationships with her customers and online friends. In addition to her passion for interior decorating, she loved sunny days in the garden with her beloved dachshunds and trips to the coast. Donna is survived by her husband, Galen Bruce Longenecker; daughters, Jennifer L. Newmeyer and Amy N. Longenecker Brown (Bruno Navarro); sister, Darlene Naugle (Dennis); brother, Elmer Minnich (Doreen); grandchildren Madison Newmeyer, Esmé, Felix and Oliver Navarro; one nephew, Dustin Naugle and three nieces, Meredith Burns, Suzanne and Kelsey Minnich. She is preceded in death by her brother, Steven M. Minnich. A Celebration of Life event will be planned in the Lancaster County area in the coming months.
