Donnie Ray Holloman

Donnie Ray Holloman February 18, 1936 – January 22, 2019 Donnie “Stick” Holloman, 82, of Wilson passed away Tuesday. His funeral will be conducted Friday at 2pm at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Tyler Campbell and Jerry Nelson will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday afternoon prior to the service from 1 – 1:45 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Donnie was a sweet man with an outgoing and friendly disposition. He never met a stranger. He worked the majority of his career as a salesman with Franklin Life Insurance. He was a committed member of his church and shared his faith with everyone he encountered. Donnie most recently attended Raleigh Road Baptist Church until his health no longer allowed. Donnie is survived by his daughter, Harriet Ellis Stinson and husband, Scot of Wilson; many nieces and nephews; and his family of Christ followers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Steven and Lillie Holloman; his sisters, Betty Hayes, Mary Holloman, Marjorie Durham, Virginia Saulter and Kathleen Porter; his brother, James Holloman and his son-in-law, Marty Ellis.
