Dorothy Ann Pate Weaver

Dorothy Ann Pate Weaver February 14, 1946 – May 28, 2020 Dorothy Ann Pate Weaver, 74, of Wilson passed away Thursday. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, better known as ‘Ann’, loved her grandchildren as well as her church. She was a member of West Wilson Church of God for more than forty-five years. Ann was always concerned with taking care of and ‘loving on’ her sisters, brothers, nieces, and nephews, and ultimately the caregiver to her late husband, Billy. If you knew Ann you would know how much she loved flowers. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. The Rev. Steve Edmundson will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Ann is survived by her son, William Edward “Eddie” Weaver and wife, Beth of Wilson; grandsons, Tyler Weaver and wife, Brittney of Wilson and Garrett Weaver of Wilson; sisters, Kay Balance of Wilson, Rose Brantley of New Bern, and Faye Pope of Kenly and brothers, Jimmy Pate and Roy Pate both of Lucama and Jackie Pate of Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Weaver; parents, Preston and Dorothy Matthews Pate and her brother, Dick Pate.
