Dorothy Faye \"Dixie\" Batchelor January 9, 1940 – September 19, 2015 Dorothy Faye \"Dixie\" Batchelor, 75, of Wilson passed away Saturday. Her funeral will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. Pastor Darren Davis will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. Dorothy is survived by her mother, Maeomie Godwin Batchelor of Wilson; her brother, Dennis Batchelor and wife, Gail of Mooresville; her aunt, Myrtle Ellis of Delaware; one niece and four nephews and her sister-in-law, Margaret Ann Batchelor of Wilson. She was preceded in death by her father, Garland Batchelor and brother, Garland Batchelor, Jr. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made in Dorothy’s honor to the American Cancer Society, 930 Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834.
