Dorothy Davis Garris, 77, of Wilson passed away Monday.-Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday at Joyner-s Funeral Home.-Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.-The Rev. Tim McFatter will officiate.

The family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner-s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway and other times at 4524 Matthews Road, Wilson.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Gail Pierce and husband, Doug of Wilson and Janet Poole and husband, Sammy of Elm City; her granddaughters, Kimberly Pierce and fiancé, Mike Egan, Melissa Summerlin, Lisa Cobb, Allison El-Gamal and husband, Sammy; her grandsons, Derek Cobb, Brentley Cobb and wife, Jodi and Andy Poole; her sisters, Estelle Wells, Virginia Davis and Sally Alphin and her brother, George Davis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Genn -Bill- Garris.
