Dorothy Mumford Yelverton Holland, 87, of Wilson passed Thursday. Her funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Elmwood Cemetery, Fremont. The Rev. Bobby Jackson will officiate.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway and other times at the home of her daughter, Kim Biggs.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Betty Felton and husband, Ricky of Wilson and Kim Biggs and husband, David of Wilson; her son, Richard Holland of Rocky Mount; her granddaughter, Amanda Webb and husband, Joey of Wilson; great-granddaughters, Ashton Gray Webb, Olivia Reese Webb, and Brianna Webb; step-daughter, Raedell Skinner and husband, Charles of Winder Georgia, and her step-grandchildren, Billy and Leabee.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Yelverton; second husband, Bob Holland; and her parents, Brutus Nathan Mumford and Minnie Mae Mayo Mumford.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be directed to a charity of one’s choice in the memory of Dorothy.
