Dorothy Lee Whitley March 14, 1931 – May 19, 2019  Dorothy Lee Whitley, 88, of Lucama died Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. Ms. Whitley was born March 14, 1931 in Wilson County, a daughter of the late Walter and Della Whitley. She was a homemaker and enjoyed visiting and meeting people, she never met a stranger. Survivors include her daughter, Marie Bell of Willow Spring; son, Dennis Bell of Greenville, and a sister, Brenda Fayard of Georgia. Also surviving are four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents Dorothy was predeceased by her sister, Martha Bunker. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home 4100 Raleigh Rd Parkway, Wilson. Graveside service for Ms. Whitley will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2019 in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson with the Reverend Joe Stalling officiating.
