Dustin Worth Hawley

Dustin Worth Hawley, 50, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2020.

Born October 14, 1969 in Wilson NC, the son of Rhonda Gay Hawley Abate and Anthony Abate.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth and Lorraine Gay; grandfather Samuel Abate and Mary Abate; sister, Brandy Hawley; and Uncle Kent Gay. 

Surviving Dustin are his wife, Kristen Palmer Hawley; his parents, Rhonda Hawley Abate and Anthony Abate; two beautiful daughters, Ellyson and Whitley Hawley; son, Christopher Hawkins, and his wife Katelyn; two grandsons; Brantley and Gunner, and a granddaughter Hallie; aunts and uncles: Chris and Marlen Weikert, Randy and Rose Fackler, Joe Abate, Tris Gay; cousins, Seth and Bryant Gay; special friend and cousin, Spencer Gay, and his wife AnneMarie Gay.

Dustin worked as a Project Manager for Marine Technologies Inc. in Baltimore, MD and was a member of the board of directors for the company. He was a passionate fan of the NC Tar Heels, and in his spare time, he liked to engage in home remodeling and repair work, a good game of golf, and greatly enjoyed movie nights with his family whom he loved dearly. He also enjoyed eating dinners with his mama and her cooking.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2024, from 2-4pm at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway Wilson, NC 27896.
