Eddie Ellis
April 3, 1942 – May 17, 2019
Eddie Ellis, 77 of Wilson passed away Friday. A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. Chaplain Phil Baucom will officiate.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Eddie was member of the Wilson Elks Lodge and very active in the Jaycees, local, state and national. He was successful businessman in Real Estate, a general contractor, Insurance Sales, an avid photographer and owner of convenient stores. Eddie was loved by his family and friends and he will be greatly missed.
Eddie is survived by his loving wife of fifty-four years, Janice Williams Ellis of the home; sisters, Peggy Jenkins of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Jenny Lucas and husband, Joe of Wilson; brother-in-law, Jimmy Williams, Jr. and wife, Wanda of Greenville; his special nephew, Al Proctor of Wilson; a host of loving nieces and nephews and his cats, Annie and Brianna.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Virginia Harris; sister, Louise Proctor; brothers, Rufus Ellis and Bill Ellis; his cats, BiBo, Mouse, Tootsie
and Samantha and his dogs, Buddy, Dax and Littlebit.
