Eddie Roland Evans September 29, 1928 – December 15, 2020 Eddie Roland Evans, 92 of Wilson passed away Tuesday. A private graveside will be held in Evans Cemetery. Rev. Garland Vick will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:30 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Roland is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Barnes Evans; daughters, Judy Evans Nolen and husband, David of Wilson, Gloria Hendrix and husband, Kevin of Wilson and Paula Anderson and husband, Kevin of Greenville; granddaughters, Randi Grundmann and husband, Brad of Camden, Jana Anderson and Kelly Anderson both of Greenville; grandsons, Clint Hendrix and wife, Danielle of Lumberton and Blair Ethridge .3 and wife, Allison of Wilson; great-grandchildren, Savannah, Hunter, Wyatt, Jake, Waylon and Liam; his brother, Rudolph Evans of Selma and Miss Daisy, his lovable fur companion. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Georgia Evans; grandson, James Roland Evans; six sisters and two brothers.
