Eddie Brooks Owens, Jr. October 17, 1959 – May 2, 2015 Brooks Owens, Jr., 55, of Wilson passed away Saturday. His funeral service will be conducted 7 p.m. Thursday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Johnny Taylor will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday evening 5 – 6:45 p.m. prior to the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. Brooks was born October 17, 1959 in Wilson to the late Eddie and Delores Owens. He was employed with Southern Time Equipment Company. He is survived by his wife of eighteen years, Lynn; his step-daughter, Christy Gardner of Dudley; his step-son, Justin Gardner and wife, Natalie; his granddaughter, Annalyn Gardner all of Pikeville, and his in-laws, Dallas and Jean Byrd of Mt.
