Edgar Fletcher Linton Sr.
April 20, 1938 – November 11, 2015
Edgar Fletcher Linton Sr., 77, of Rocky Mount passed away Wednesday. His funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Rusty Russell will officiate.
The family will receive friends 12 – 1:45 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway and other times at the home.
Edgar was the founder and former owner of De-Bug-Em, Inc., and a member of Peace Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and a friend to all that knew him. He will be greatly missed and thought of often.
Edgar is survived by his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Linda Joyner Linton of the home; his daughters, Temesia Quinlan and husband, Charles of Texas, and Vivian Morgan of Wilson; his sons, Vernon Linton and wife, Patricia of Wilson, and Edgar “Ed” Linton, Jr. and wife, Cheryl of Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Frances Nanney of Raleigh, and Doris Sloan of Greenville, and his brother, John F. Linton of Greenville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Heber Andrew Linton and Mary Murphy Linton, and brothers, Raymond, Travis, and Ernest Linton.
