Edna Earle Nichols Lamm August 5, 1923 – November 27, 2018 Edna Earle Nichols Lamm, 95, of Wilson passed away Tuesday. Her funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. The Rev. Walt Tyndall and Rev. Ray Wells will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Mrs. Lamm was a long time member of Milbourine OFWB Church. She was a member of the Woman’s Auxiliary in her younger years. She loved her church and church family and kept up with its activities when she became unable to attend. Her heart was in her church. Mrs. Lamm graduated from Rock Ridge High School and soon began working in Greenville but later returned to work with NC Employment Security Commission in Wilson and worked there for 36 years before retiring. She is survived by several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly and a sisters-in-law, Ann Garris Nichols, Zillie Deans Lamm and Nancy Finch Lamm. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Melton L. Lamm; parents, David and Etta Liles Nichols; sister, Letha Strickland; and her brothers, Ben (Buddy), Grady, Isaac, Charles, and Millard Nichols. Flowers are welcome or consider memorials made in her memory to Milbournie OFWB Church, 5118 Raleigh Road Parkway West, Wilson, North Carolina 27896. A special thanks to everyone who visited her, called, sent cards and any act of kindness given to her during the last few years of her life.
