Edward Lee Newcomb April 16, 1949 – July 6, 2017 Edward Lee Newcomb, 68, of Rocky Mount passed away Thursday. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in Thompson Chapel Church Cemetery, 5620 Thompson Chapel Church Road, Wilson. Lt. Jacob Law of the Salvation Army will officiate. Family will receive friends at home of his aunt, 4000 Princess Anne Drive, Wilson, North Carolina. Edward is survived by his daughter, Delphia Ann Newcomb of Rocky Mount; several aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Lewis Newcomb; parents, Joseph and Mildred Newcomb; step-mother, Lula Newcomb.
