Edward Joseph Stanley

March 20, 1940 – December 6, 2014

Edward Joseph Stanley, 74, of Wilson passed away Saturday.  His memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.  The family will receive friends Tuesday evening immediately following the service.   Edward was a loving husband, father, grandfather, step-father, step-grandfather, brother and a friend to all that knew him.  Edward enjoyed his life to the fullest; one of his greatest joys was his pet red corvette.  He was a big fan of sports, the Steelers and NASCAR was his choice.  Edward also loved to travel and relax with his family.  He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.   Edward is survived by his wife, Judy Horton Stanley of the home; his daughter, Debbie Green and husband, John of Morehead City; his son, Ted Stanley and wife, Carrie of Charleston, South Carolina; his granddaughters, Lauren Stanley, Megan Stanley and Lily Green; his grandson, Alex Green; his step-children, Christy Fulford and Chuck Williamson and wife, Lindsey; his step-grandchildren, Edward Fulford and Julie Frances Fulford and  his sisters, Barbara Nagy of Florida and Cathy Della of Washington.   He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bernie Stanley; his parents, Edward and Barbara Stanley and his sister, Nancy Sciullo.   Condolences may be directed to www.joyners.net.
