Elbridge Venson Johnson May 3, 1928 – October 26, 2019 Elbridge Venson Johnson, 91 of Middlesex passed away Saturday. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hollywood Cemetery, Middlesex. The Rev. Jim Robertson will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. Elbridge is survived by his loving wife of sixty-eight years, Jean Tyson Johnson of the home; daughters, Rhonda Carter (Don) of Middlesex and Gail Johnson (Rick) of Middlesex and his grandchildren, Hunter Wells (Sandy), Dylan Wells (Hannah), Jordan Maddrey (Brittany), and Charlie Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Janie Johnson; sisters, Melva Harris, Beulah Evans and Hazel Price and his brothers, Otha Johnson, Ivan Johnson, Rudolph Johnson and Joseph Johnson.
