Eleanor Gray Narron Dickerson
August 5, 1935 – March 18, 2016
Eleanor Gray Narron Dickerson, 80, of Wilson passed away. Her funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Monday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Richard Cuddington, Rev. Doug Radford and Rev. Dr. Billy Toler will officiate.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home of her daughter, 5917 Countryside Road, Wilson.
Eleanor graduated from Lucama High School and was a teacher’s assistant for over thirty years with the Wilson County School System. She was a member of the First FWB Church, where she served in the Women’s Auxiliary, the choir, Sunday school teacher, children’s church, and Senior Citizens Fellowship. Eleanor was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to all that knew her. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Ramey Jo Dail and husband, Greg of Wilson, and her grandson, Jonathan McManus-Dail and wife, Elizabeth of Durham and her granddaughter, Grayson Dail of Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Gray Dickerson; her parents, Rufus Bryant Narron and Mary Evans Narron; her brothers, J.B. Narron and Elwood Narron, and her sister-in-law, Nora Grey Narron.
