Elizabeth Edgerton Mayo

Elizabeth Edgerton Mayo August 6, 1924 – February 13, 2020 Elizabeth Edgerton Mayo, 95 of Greenville formerly of Lucama passed away Thursday. Her funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson. The Rev. Paul Kevin Jackson will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1 – 1:45 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home of her daughter, Frances Proctor. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Frances M. Proctor of Greenville; granddaughters, Lisa Jackson and husband, Rev. Paul Kevin Jackson of Greenville, Elizabeth Alley of Nashville, Tennessee and Christina O’Lear and husband, Gary of Raleigh; grandsons, Junior Mayo and wife, Pam of South Carolina, Tommy Shirley and wife, Dana of Greenville, James Mayo, Billy and Dennis Mayo all of Wilson; seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, John T. Mayo; son, Jimmy Mayo and her daughter, Barbara Alley.
