Elizabeth Marian Stancil November 8, 1927 – August 27, 2018 Elizabeth Marian “Peggy” Stancil, 90, of Wilson passed away Monday. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday in Evergreen Memorial Park. The Rev. Eric Vernelson and the Rev. David List will officiate. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Peggy is survived by her daughters, Joan Thompson of Ocala, Florida and Marian Lamm of Wilson; son, Jimmy Stancil and wife, Cathy of Wilson; grandchildren, Tish Summerlin and husband, Steve, of Wilson, Kelly Barnes and husband, Billy of Black Creek, Lee Anne Edwards and husband, Justin of Zebulon, George Thompson of Ocala, Florida, Ashley Stancil and wife, Crystal of Bailey and Marshall Bass of Wilson; great-grandchildren, Brooke and Sage Meador, Stephen, Kaitlin, and Christopher Abrams, Khloe Barnes, Luke Edwards, Devin, Madison and Mylee Stancil, Jaxson Bass; brother-in-law, Ray Stancil and wife, Jackie of Indiana; nephews, Greg Stancil, Jay and Tim Yarboro of Arkansas; special godchild, Bree; three lifelong friendships, Jane Boyette, Dot Southerland and Frances Moore; special “daughter”, Linda Musgrave and special “son”, Ronnie Lamm; special \"granddaughter\", Betsy Jeffreys, She was preceded in death by husband, Alvin Stancil; sons, Danny and Steve Stancil; grandson, Alvin Thompson; brother, Jay Yarboro; daughter-in-law, Ollie Stancil.
