Ellen McKeel Ellis, 84, of Wilson passed away Wednesday.-A graveside will be conducted
10 a.m. Friday in Maplewood Cemetery.-The Rev. Wayne Whitley will officiate.

The family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday at Joyner-s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway and other times at 6413 Gardner-s School Road, Stantonsburg.

Ellen was co-owner and operator of Clyde Ellis-s store at Holden-s Crossroads for over 30 years.-She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.-She will be missed by all that knew her.

Ellen is survived by her daughter, Betty Ellis Baker (Alan) of Stantonsburg; her brother, Luther McKeel Jr.,-of Greensboro and her grandchildren, Alison Ford (Shawn) of Wilson, Al Baker (Robin)
of Wilson, Joshua Ellis of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Peyton Ellis of Kinston, and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde P. Ellis and her son, Preston Ellis.
