Elsie Simmons Bridgers

Elsie Simmons Bridgers October 12, 1919 – February 9, 2015 Elsie Simmons Bridgers, 95, of Wilson, passed away Monday. Her funeral service will be conducted 6 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home of Judy Boswell. Elsie is survived by her daughters, Patsy Short, Bonnie Short, Judy Boswell and Sandra Davis and husband, Jimmy all of Wilson; twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and eighteen great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace R. Bridgers; her daughter, Bettie C. Scott; her son, Rodger R. Bridgers and grandson, Eddie Bridgers.
