Elsie Parker Howard February 18, 1932 – December 19, 2016 Elsie Parker Howard, 84, of Wilson passed away Monday. Her funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Steve Strickland will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1 – 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. Elsie was a faithful and devoted member of Grace Baptist Church for sixty years. She was the former co-owner and co-operator of Howard’s Convenient Mart. Elsie is survived by her loving husband of sixty-seven years, Ervin Howard; her daughters, Susan H. Sharpe and husband, Wayne of Wilson, and Sandra H. Totten and husband, Billy of Durham; her granddaughters, Ashley Totten, and Callie Totten; her grandsons, Chris Sharpe and wife, Melissa, and Tim Sharpe and wife, Jennifer; six great-grandchildren, and her sisters, Ethel Mosley, and Edna Galloway both of Wilson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Elsie’s honor to the Grace Baptist Church, Building Fund, 202 N. Kincaid Avenue, Wilson, North Carolina 27893.
