Elsie Lamm Poythress

Elsie Lamm Poythress, 90 of Wilson passed away Tuesday.  A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson.  Pastor Daniel Vester will officiate.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Elsie is survived by her son, Dean Poythress and wife, Trina; daughter, Denise Winstead and husband, Dennis; grandchildren, Jessica W. Chaney and husband, Cameron, Kendall Poythress, and Landon Poythress; great-grandson, Connor Chaney; step-grandson, Bryce Winstead, and her sisters-in-law, Grace Lamm, Norma Poythress, Doris Poythress, and Juanita Walston.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William M. “Bill” Poythress; her sister, Addie Owens; brothers, Willie Lamm, Edward Lamm, Bruce Lamm and Robert Lamm, and her step-grandson, T.J. Winstead.
