Elton D. Forbes, Jr. August 3, 1939 – February 29, 2020 Elton D. Forbes, Jr., 80, of Beaulaville, passed away Saturday. The family will hold a visitation on Saturday, March 7th from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at 7368 Huddlestone Road, Bailey, North Carolina 27807. The things he loved most in life were his family, his dog and lots of laughter. Elton is survived by his wife, Joyce North Forbes of the home; daughter, Jo Ann Dodd and husband, Keith of Bailey; son, John Ashley Forbes of Salter Path, five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his sister, Patricia Forbes Wayt of Thomasville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elton D. and Bessie Ruth Forbes. Memorial donations may be made in Elton’s memory to the Humane Society, P.O. Box 7064, Wilson, North Carolina 27895-7064.
