Elton Nathan Vick, 89, who passed away on November 8, 2022, was our family member.  He and his wife, Blessin, were extremely happy for sixty-two years of bliss.

Elton was an Army veteran, adjutant of the Cox-Putney American Legion in Elm City, postal employee for forty-five years, uncle to Jack, Dave, Mike, Jerri, Annie, Dexter, Annette, Carter, Martin, and Tommy and honorary nephew Vince.  He was a member of the Elm City Methodist church and choir for sixty-two years, youth baseball coach, steady walker (five miles daily), biker, a prognosticator of college football, enjoyed teasing, great neighbor, he tried to fish, beach comber, Methodist Men’s club member, money-man at pan cake suppers, had pretty legs, golfer who had two holes in one, enjoyed numerous trips to the Masters, and family gatherings with Redmond, Joanne, Jeannette and Rachel, along with Blessin. Even though his favorite color was red, he was a huge Duke Blue Devil fan.
