Elvis Joe Edwards, Sr. January 8, 1971 – September 6, 2019 Elvis Joe Edwards, Sr., 48 of Lucama passed away Friday.  His memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.  The Rev. Benny Wayne Poythress will officiate. Elvis was a man of many trades; bounty hunter, wrecker service and body mechanic and he was a loving family man, who will be greatly missed. Elvis is survived by his wife, Rebecca Marie Edwards and parents, Russell and Joanne Carlisle Edwards all of the home; sons, Elvis “EJ” Edwards, Jr. of Lucama and Martin McCullen, Jr. of Alabama; daughter, Jennifer McCullen of Alabama; grandchildren, Reid Edwards, Tyler Chapman, Phillip and Levi Pearson and Gauge, Maddox and Blaise McCullen; sister, Connie Hall of Sims; brother, Russell Edwards, Jr. of Lucama and his nieces, Brittany Edwards, Katie Hall and Brandi Scoggins. He was preceded in death by grandson, Ethan Pearson; grandparents, Lillie and Marshall Carlisle; uncle, Larry Carlisle; aunt, Barbara Edward; niece, Christy Joann Mooring and his great friend, David Mooring.
