Emily Elizabeth Paynter
July 21, 1933 – April 25, 2014
Emily Elizabeth Paynter, 80, of Elm City passed away Friday. A memorial service will be held a later date. Elizabeth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother (gg), sister and a friend to all that knew her. She was greatly loved and will be missed and thought of often with memories that will warm the heart. Elizabeth was a member of the Eastern Star for forty years, she was in good standing. American Business Women’s Association and was president of the chapter in Glendale, CA and Elizabeth was also The Woman of the Year in Glendale, CA. Elizabeth was a self-employed medical transcriptionist who worked many years with Dr. St. Claire, Sr. in Woodside, CA as well as with Cardiologist, Dr. Winsor of LA, CA. Elizabeth was a pianist for Job’s Daughters Bethel 131 in Glendale, CA and a longtime scorekeeper for little league baseball and softball in Glendale, CA. Elizabeth is survived by her son, Jerry Wayne Dalley and wife, Peggy of Castle Hayne and their sons, Coleman Todd Dalley and Matthew Wayne Dalley; her other son, James Todd Paynter and wife, Virginia and their son, Jared Todd Paynter of San Jacinto, CA; her daughter, Kym McKenna of Elm City and her son, William Thomas Dalley; her granddaughter, Bonnie McKenna-Caldwell and her son, Joshua Timothy Caldwell of Elm City; her sister-in-law, Lila Daugherty of Camas, WA; her nephew, Larry Daugherty and wife, Lynn of Camas WA and her niece, Kelly Daugherty of AR. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Todd Paynter and her brothers, Charles Daugherty, Bill Daugherty and Cleve Daugherty. The family would like to express their thanks to the Brian Center and the Wilson Medical Center Hospice for their compassionate staff and excellent care that Elizabeth received during her stay.
