Ervin McClease Howard

Ervin McClease Howard August 31, 1931 – November 10, 2018 Ervin McClease Howard, 87 of Wilson passed away Saturday. His funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Grace Baptist Church, 202 N Kincaid Avenue, Wilson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Steve Strickland will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 1 – 1:45 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church and other times at the residence. Ervin was the owner and operator of Howard’s Convenient Mart and a member of Grace Baptist Church. Ervin is survived by his daughters, Susan Howard Sharpe and husband, Wayne, of Wilson and Sandra Howard Totten and husband, Billy of Durham; granddaughters, Ashley Totten and husband, Jay Glidden and Callie Totten; grandsons, Chris Sharpe and wife, Melissa and Tim Sharpe and wife, Jennifer and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-seven years, Elsie Parker Howard and his parents, James Nixon and Mamie Williams Howard. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ervin’s memory can be made to Grace Baptist Church, Building Fund, 202 N. Kincaid Avenue, Wilson, North Carolina 27893.
