Ervin Cecil Wells

Ervin Cecil Wells, 84, of Wilson passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Trinity Baptist Church, 3624 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. Officiating is Pastor Mike Renfrow and guests.

The family will receive friends Friday evening, June 21, 2024, from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. 

Ervin is survived by his wife, Joyce Wells of the home; daughter, Renee’ Brookshire and husband, Thomas of Orangeburg, South Carolina; his grandchildren, Julie Stewart and husband, Joel, Kellie Martinez and husband, Bryan, Andrew Brookshire and wife, Kelly, and Rebecca Brock and husband, Aaron; nine great-grandchildren; sister Faye Morgan, and many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Rosamond Wells; granddaughter, Aurora Brookshire, and his sister, Becky Womble. 

The family would like to express special thanks to Gentiva Hospice for all of their care and help during Ervin’s illness, and to all the many special family and friends for their help and encouragement.
