Estelle Lamm Southers

Estelle Lamm Southers, 82 passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Wilson Medical Center, Wilson. Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Spring Memorial Gardens, Spring Hope. The Rev. Buddy Wagnon will officiate.
She was born in Nash County to Ervin and Gladys Lamm. She graduated from Spring Hope High School in 1955 and moved to Washington, D.C. and met and married Jack Southers. They had one son, Dan.
Estelle worked for Prudential Insurance Company for thirty years. After retiring, she moved back to North Carolina and was a substitute teacher in Wilson for ten years. She enjoyed reading, watching jeopardy and taking a walk at Lake Wilson. Estelle was a great wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and a friend to all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Jack; son, Dan and friend, Sandra; grandson, Matthew and several other grandchildren; brothers, James Lamm and Allen Lamm and her sisters, Betsy Cone and husband, Pete and Alice Lamm.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and one brother.
