Esther Pearl Williams
June 24, 1944 – October 1, 2016
Esther Pearl Williams, 72, of Bailey passed away Saturday. Her memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday evening at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. The family will receive friends from 5:30 – 6:45 p.m. prior to the service and other times at the home. The Rev. Darrell Bowles will officiate.
Esther was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She lived life to the fullest and always had a smile with quick remark. Esther loved her grandchildren to the fullest. She enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower garden.
Esther is survived by her husband, Lewis Williams of the home; her daughters, Beth Anna Liles and husband, Denny, and Stephanie Williams Hagwood and husband, Joe both of Bailey; her grandsons, Nick Liles of California, Ben Liles, Will Liles and Paul Hagwood all of Bailey; her sisters, Diane Horton and husband, David of Bailey, and Jean Turner and husband, Gene of Wilson; her nieces, Ginger Batts, Holly Davis, Debbie Cary, and Pam Williams; her nephew, Brandy Williams, and several special friends that she held dear in her heart, and Maggie, her beloved beagle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gaston and Hazel Williams; her brothers, Dock “D.T.” Thomas Williams, and Gaston “Buster” Williams, III, and her nephew, Thomas “Snapper” Gaston Williams.
Flowers are welcome or memorials in Esther’s memory can be given to Hornes United Methodist Church, 165 W Hornes Church Road, Wilson, North Carolina 27896.
