Ethel Mae Walls Collier August 9, 1930 – January 23, 2015 Ethel Mae Walls Collier, 84, of Wilson passed away Friday. Her funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. The Rev. Frank Haggard will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday 2 – 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home of her daughter, Judy Pittman. Ethel is survived by her daughters, Jeannie Collier of Durham, Judy Collier Pittman and husband, Bo of Wilson and Jacqueline “Jackie” Collier of Wilmington; her son, Jimmy Collier and wife, Carol of Wilson; five grandchildren, Constance, Jameson, Brenson, Scott and Connor; two step-grandchildren, Kristen and Greg; her sister, Irene Johnson of California and her brothers, Edward Walls and wife, Jean of Washington, Billy Walls and wife, Doris of Bailey and Luther Walls and wife, Carol of Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Collier; her parents, Bennett and Erma Stancil Walls; her step-mother, Coralia Teague; her sister, Margie Johnson and her brother, Roy Walls.
